Thanks, Stephen, though I felt the concept had weaknesses. There’s no reason to give anything more credit than it’s due.

It’s not really the Scientific Method, but again, you could say that’s execution. Sci Method says observe first. Lots of people in startups and companies believe that if they imagine people do or don’t do something, that’s good enough for the hypoth. If they “saw” a problem (like users aren’t buying enough of our things), then that’s the real problem.

I would say that this means observe lots of people and learn what their problems and needs are. Don’t just come up with an idea, decide that’s probably a problem, and test your way to validating your own idea (which I see CONSTANTLY in startups and larger businesses).
