I’m not sure that really describes how we’re close to going extinct. Between “design thinking” and “everybody’s a designer” and “just have the PM wireframe something” and the like, our jobs are becoming production design, and we’re in danger of not existing.

So it’s not an existential crisis. We have people inside and outside of our industry actively selling us out and trying to end the profession.

Conflict sounds like you prefer Jobs To Be Done and I prefer Task Analysis, and we’re fighting a bit over that.

I know “Civil War” is uncomfy and not the best, but I don’t know what captures all of this.
