I would disagree. I said what I meant. :) Be careful of any hypothesis before you have done qual research (observations and/or interviews). Desk research, literature review, analytics, and surveys aren't enough. We are rushing into solutions without understanding users or their realities.

And I would challenge you: do you really need a hypothesis to do research? As soon as you have one, you are biased.
