Design Thinking is definitely not normal thinking. That’s one of the 5000 definitions I’ve heard. But it can’t be true. If design thinking is just thinking, why did we need “design thinking”? Why all the books, training, and certificates to teach you “normal thinking intensely first?

So I would say absolutely not to design thinking just being thinking and a reminder to work with real users and customers.

The CEO of IDEO was recently on a podcast. She couldn’t define design thinking or explain exactly how it’s done. I can’t wait until everybody sees the design thinking emperor isn’t wearing any clothes. Everybody has been fooled.

Then we can get back to critical thinking and UCD/HCD.
